GLO PROFESSIONAL TEETH WHITENING

When looking for a way to brighten their smile, many patients have the misconception that professional teeth whitening is outrageously expensive or difficult. This may lead them to try over-the-counter products such as gels, strips, trays, and whitening toothpastes.

Whitening toothpastes work by using abrasive cleansers that polish away the stains on your teeth. While you may notice a subtle change, whitening toothpastes fail to address staining that occurs beneath the outer layer of your enamel. Teeth have microscopic pores where stains can collect. No amount of surface whitening can reach those areas. Additionally, abrasives can damage your teeth, gums, and restorations like crowns.

With our professional whitening system, we address the stains on your teeth from two angles:

First, we use professional strength in-office whitening to give you a substantial jumpstart to a bright smile. This one-hour treatment will brighten your teeth by several shades right from the start.

Next, we will send you home with a custom whitening system to continue your treatment and touch up your smile as needed. We will provide enough gel to get the job done and we also offer refills for future touch-ups.

With this dual-step treatment, you can achieve dramatic results quickly. Because you have trays at home, you can maintain your brighter smile for a lifetime.

The GLO whitening kit that you see in the store is different in 2 key ways. First off the light that is used in the retail version is about half as warm and intense as the light used in the GLO Professional System (GLO PRO). Secondly the gel that is used to whiten your teeth in office is 30% hydrogen peroxide as opposed to the gel bought at the stores which is 3% hydrogen peroxide. The take home part of GLO PRO uses a 9% gel vs. the 3% you can buy in the stores. GLO Professional has told me that the in office/take home procedure is about 80% stronger than the product that you would buy at Sephora.
