What should I do in a dental emergency?

If you find yourself in the midst of dealing with a dental emergency, like a toothache or knocked-out tooth, we recommend contacting our office as soon as possible. Dr. Magid offers same-day emergency dental appointments to help get you out of pain and restore the health of your smile.

Is professional teeth whitening better than store-bought?

While store-bought teeth whitening may seem like a better value, it won’t provide the trusted, safe, and virtually guaranteed results that our Zoom! take-home and in-office professional teeth whitening treatments can. Within a single one-hour visit or two weeks of use at home, our dental team can brighten your smile by up to eight shades.

Can I get implant dentures in a day?

Dr. Magid is specially trained to provide start-to-finish dental implant treatment, including All-on-4 dental implants. This service is ideal for patients who have been missing teeth for awhile or are looking to make the switch from dentures to implant dentures, because we secure the implant posts to the densest, most supportive parts of the jawbone. This minimizes the need for preparatory procedures, like a bone graft, all while allowing you to enjoy the stability and strength of implant dentures.

How do I know if I have gum disease?

Gum disease is one of the most common oral health problems among adults, affecting an estimated one out of every two people according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Some signs that you may notice, include:

  • Chronic bad breath
  • Loose teeth
  • Inflamed or red gums
  • Bleeding while brushing or flossing your teeth
  • Gum recession

If Dr. Magid notices any signs of gum disease, he may recommend scaling and root planing and laser periodontal therapy to help keep the problem from becoming worse.

Can you help treat my sleep apnea?

Yes! Dr. Magid offers customized therapy for patients who are diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. Our dental office can craft a personalized sleep guard that you wear at night that can keep your airways open, allowing your body to receive proper oxygen flow and minimizing chronic snoring caused by collapsed soft tissues.

What does your new patient experience look like?

Our new patients at Magid Dental Care get a first-class experience. You’ll be scheduled with Dr. Magid for a complete, comprehensive examination, intraoral photos, digital X-rays, a cone beam CT scan, and customized treatment plans, if necessary. From there, you’ll be scheduled for either a professional teeth cleaning or scaling and root planing, depending on your needs.
